There are many reasons that trees (and occasionally large shrubs) need to be relocated,
or transplanted. From home additions to a plant just overgrowing its spot, BIG TREES TODAY
excels at transplanting existing trees. It is in these situations that our twenty-plus
years of experience are most critically helpful.
Several factors are involved in determining the "movability"
of any particular plant. They include the size, specie, distance to be moved, and
available access. Often we can offer the customer a "rough estimate" over the
phone; other times an on-site appraisal is necessary.
Using professional transplanting technology, trees up to 12" diameter
are usually transplantable. An adequately sized rootball is the key to success!
We've had remarkable success with some much larger trees, as you'll see in our photos

The tree spade hydraulically digs and then lifts the tree. It then carries the tree
to the pre-dug hole, and lowers it into place.

Evergreens 10' - 12' and deciduous trees up to 3 1/2" can usually be brought in on our hand-cart.

Where access is limited, a crane is sometimes called on to deliver trees to the destination.

Some situations require transplanting very big trees!
