Bur Oak

A massive, long-lived deciduous tree, typically growing around 60 feet tall with a broad, spreading crown and deep, rugged bark. It is easily identified by its 6–12 inch long leaves with a deep central pair of indentations, and large, distinctive acorns enclosed in a heavily fringed, mossy cap.
